Ingredients

  • 50 g Muratbey Topi Cheese
  • 300g wheat flour
  • 100g whole wheat flour
  • 250 ml warm water
  • 1 packet (9g) dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 50g dried tomatoes (soaked and chopped)
  • 3 tablespoon herbs (thyme and basil)

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine the types of flour, sugar, salt, herbs, and dry yeast for the dough. Add water and oil, then knead with a dough hook for 5 minutes until a dough forms. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size. Add the Topi cheese and soaked dried tomatoes. Knead the dough a bit more again and divide into three equal pieces on a floured work surface. Shape each piece into long ropes with your hands. Braid into a plait and let it rest on the baking sheet for another 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the plaited bread with Topi cheese for about 35-40 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
